Welcome to Traditional Dry Stone Walling.
My name is Phil Cobb. I am originally from Ilkley in West Yorkshire, and now live in Rossendale with my family.
I have been Dry Stone Walling Professionally for 24 years and learnt the craft from my Grandfather on our farm.
I love my job and enjoy working outdoors in all weathers. I have been lucky to work in some beautiful places here in Lancashire.
I joined the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain about 15 years ago and now hold the Advanced Craftsman Certificate. Though the DSWA I have also been able to train and achieve my level 2 instructors certificate. This means that I can now train people in the craft at our training weekends. I enjoy this part of the job too. It is very rewarding to see people enjoying the countryside and learning new skills.
